We just called to check on our lil man and he had a great night. When they rounded this morning the nurse said they decided to stop giving him the lipids for extra nutrition. They increased his feeds to 4ml/hr. If he tolerates his feeds over the next few days with the increase then they will be able to stop the TPN (extra nutrition through the PICC line). His vancomycin level that was drawn was normal, so the nurse gave that dose this morning. There wasn't a whole lot else that changed. We needed to get some things done here around the house before heading into see RJ today. Life must go on at home too. We were developing a very large amount of clothes on the floor, so laundry needed to be done. :) We hope to send some pics later today after seeing our lil man. We are hoping to get the nurses to let Robert hold RJ again this evening since he only gets to on the weekends. We ended up going to church yesterday since we weren't able to hold RJ in the morning while he was getting his blood. It was quite emotional for me. It was nice to have people come up to us with hugs and kind words. It just didn't feel right being there and not having our lil boy with us... One day soon we will be able to have him with us all the time. :) That will be a day for true celebration!!! Love to all!!
