April 14, 2013:

RJ is a champ!! He had 3 full breastfeeding sessions today at 9am, noon, and 3pm. The last one was a little stressful b/c he didn't want to start eating at 2:30pm, since they kick everyone out at 3pm. He didn't start really feeding till about 3pm. Thankfully we had an awesome nurse and she let us stay behind the curtains and finish feeding. Robert had come to hang out the last couple hours today, so he was hiding w/ RJ and I. Our nurse called us the same time we were calling her tonight in order to check on RJ. She was calling to let us know he took his first full bottle!! He drank all 42mls!! The light bulb went off today that the bottle gives him food too. :) We just called to check on him and he took half his bottle at 9pm. He lost a lil and weighs 5lb 6oz. Here's hoping he keeps feeding well so we can bring him home soon!! Things are happening quicker now and faster than we were anticipating. We are excited to see what happens next!! That's about all for tonight. Nothing new at rounds today.
